How is Batik Fabric Made?

Instructions:  First pick your Batik stamp.  The select your first color and your 3 yards of white cloth.  Next stamp on the cloth your design.  Next the cloth is dyed and laid out on the lawn to dry.  Then you pick your next design and dye it again.  After it is dried again on the lawn, voila you all line up and hold your work of art on display.

And if you had the time, you would dye it again and again and have a product that looks these below.

Elder Yirenya-Tawiah Addresses Area MTC Devotional June 19th

Our speaker Thursday, June 19th was Elder Yirenya-Tawiah, Area Seventy who is the physical facilities manager for the Africa West Area.  Elder Yirenya-Tawiah was named a member of the Third Quorum of Seventy during April General Conference 2012 and was the first stake president in Tema, the city where the MTC is located.  He and his wife have 4 children.

The current group in the MTC is the 11th group to train under the direction of President and Sister Robison.  The number 46 and come from Australia, Botswana, Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda and the United States.

Future missionaries cry out "Hurrah for Israel!"

Funerals Are Celebrations in Ghana

Funerals in Ghana are very costly affairs.  Large posters are published advertising the event throughout the community, bands are hired, and the entire village shows up for a parade of sorts with the casket.

Take a Trip to Peditokope Island.

If you want an authentic Ghanian experience, a boat ride up the Volta River to Peditokope Island should be on your bucket list.

The trip was capped off by experiencing a view of a prospering oyster business.
