You can imagine our surprise and gratitude for Sister Tessa Bailey of the Liberty 1st Ward and for her family. They have been carefully following this blog and the FaceBook Group called Elders in Ghana. A need was recognized for white shirts because so many of the missionaries arrive at the MTC with so little. Many of them wash out a precious shirt in a bucket every night before retiring.
They also read about an option to bring two suitcases, but have one of them filled with clothes the Africans could use. That was the choice the Baileys made.
How many brand new shirts fit in a suitcase? 100 gently rolled up shirts equals 51 lbs.
