Giving

We are so grateful for the efforts of so many to send white shirts, ties, preparation day clothes, shoes, and glasses to the Ghana MTC for those who come with so little.

October 26-29 eye doctors from Utah County are conducting eye exams and distributing 10,000 pairs of glasses in Accra.  Missionaries coming to Ghana are helping them get the glasses to Africa.

Preparation day clothes are always needed.

Many Africans come to the MTC with only 2 or 3 shirts.  One in this group had less than that.

This was Elder Carlson's Eagle Scout project.  Imagine collecting the glasses and getting to bring them to the field of labor where he was assigned to serve.
Minutes after Elder Morris gave us these preparation day clothes I saw an African elder without shoes playing soccer in black socks.  I asked him where his shoes were.  He said he did not have any.  I  went to Elder Morris' bag and the first pair fit perfectly.  Remember, there is no such thing as a coincidence.  This work is so great.
