Looking for a craftsman? Try the Pit

Just off the freeway entrance at Independence and the Tema Motorway, is the "Pit."  This is where great hand-carved items are found.

 The passage ways are small.

 The carvers work in front of their shops.

 Each shop owner is anxious for you to at least "take just one look."

 There is an element of a social experience in their day to day work.

 You can also find African dresses in a variety of colors.

 Our favorite shop has the widest variety of choices.
